Funding and eligibility

Most of our learners pay nothing. Here is how that works, who qualifies, and what to do if you do not.

A funded place

Our courses are paid for through the Adult Education Budget and by partners such as job centres, local councils, colleges and charities. If you qualify, your place is entirely free: the course, the exams and the assessments all cost you nothing.

Most funded learners are referred to us by their job centre work coach or by Ingeus, but you can also apply directly through this site and we will help you work out the funding.

A self-funded place

If you do not meet the funding conditions, you can now pay for a place yourself. Prices are confirmed on enquiry: apply through the form, tick the self-funded option, and we will contact you with the details before you commit to anything.

You can also email seve@bellofitness.co.uk or call 07808 007273 to talk it through first.

Can you get a free place?

A funded place costs you nothing if all four of these are true:

  • You are aged 19 or over
  • You are currently receiving benefits
  • You are not enrolled on any other funded course
  • You are not employed for more than 16 hours per week

Not sure, or not eligible? Apply anyway. We will talk your options through, including our new self-funded places. More on the funding page.

Where the funding comes from

These organisations refer learners to us and fund places on our courses. Some learners are funded through other routes, and we will always tell you where you stand before the course starts.

  • Ingeus
  • The Campden Charities

Funding questions

Is there any cost at all on a funded place?

No. A funded place covers the course, the theory exam and the practical assessments. You pay nothing.

I am on benefits but not sure which count. What should I do?

Apply anyway, or ask your job centre work coach. Eligibility is checked before the course starts, so a wrong guess costs you nothing.

Can I do both courses on funding?

Funding covers one course at a time, and you cannot be enrolled on another funded course at the same time. Learners who complete Level 2 with us progress on to Level 3.

How do self-funded prices work?

Self-funded places are new, and prices are confirmed on enquiry. Apply with the self-funded option ticked and we will contact you with the details. You commit to nothing by applying.

The form asks which route fits you, and we sort the rest out with you.
